Jay is Co-Founder and Managing Director of WestSummit Capital, a leading China-based global growth equity firm focused on helping high growth technology companies access the China market.
Jay has more than 20 years of investment and operations experience in the semiconductor and telecom industry.
Prior to WestSummit, Jay was a Partner at Pacific Venture Partners (PVP), a venture capital firm focused on technology investments in Asia and the U.S., where he led many successful investments in the technology and telecom markets.
Prior to PVP, Jay was the Co-Founder and CEO of Advanced Communication Devices (ACD), acquired by UTStarcom (NASDAQ: UTSI) in 2001, and then a Senior Executive at UTStarcom. ACD was a leading SoC semiconductor company focusing on LAN and IP switching technology with operations in the US and Asia.
Before that, Jay worked in the semiconductor and telecommunications industry at National Semiconductor and LSI Logic Jay had also served as the Chairman of Centec Networks, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Haier Microelectronics, Chairman of Truebroad Technologies, and Board member of Legend Silicon.
Jay serves on the Board of Directors for WSC portfolio companies Accent International and Union Optech.
